Beaches & Parks in Vero Beach and Indian River County

Indian River County has 22 beach/parks with access to the ocean or lagoon. Nine of the county’s full service parks have year-round lifeguards on duty:

Boating & Fishing in Vero Beach and Indian River County

Indian River County offers anglers some of the best salt water and fresh water fishing on the East Coast of Florida. The calm protected waters of the Indian River Lagoon provide an ideal environment for many types of boating, kayaking and canoeing. If you have a boat that is not moored, there are several places that provide free launching ramps and parking spaces. If you don’t own a boat, there are numerous boat-chartering outfits to select from.
